Additional information
The MCA has four Emergency Towing Vessels (ETVs) under all year
round contracts. These vessels are not designed for oil spill
response. The vessels have a minimum specification of, length 60m, bollard
pull 125 tonnes, bow thruster 800 hp, stern thruster 800 hp and max
speed not less than 15.5 knots. The areas of operation of the ETVs are
the Northern Isles, The Minch, South West Approaches and the Dover
Strait. |
