If the craft is coming off a foreign register the deletion certificate and an extract of the appropriate register is required. Any documents used to support your application which are in a foreign language must be accompanied by a notarised translation and must be certified as correct by a Public Notary.

Each boat has to have a unique name. When you apply to register, you will need a list of potential names in case your first choice is already taken.  If none of the names are available, the Registry will contact you to discuss alternative names.  At the moment it is not possible to check availability online or over the telephone.

All applications must be accompanied with the appropriate fee. A Certificate of Registry lasts for five years after which, if you wish you can renew the registration for a further five years.
