HM Coastguard have teamed up with libraries across the UK to educate children about sea and beach safety messages through story telling. The storytelling pack is available for download by following the link at the bottom of the page.
As part of a major accident prevention initiative, Coastguards launched a Sea Smart story telling initiative in libraries. This free pack is available for libraries to use in mother and toddler groups and story telling sessions over the summer.
As well as a short story, the pack also includes details of how to order free resources including wristbands and leaflets.
Ten Sea Smart goody bags are available to the first ten
libraries to download the pack from the website. Each goody bag contains:
Sea Smart Duffle Bag
Coastguard Helicopter key ring
Safety leaflet
Beach Safety Card
Sea Smart pen
Sea Smart Crayons
