Hansson PyroTech AB has notified the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) advising the following:

It has come to the attention of Hansson PyroTech that there are currently MOB Smoke/Light signals on the market as Hansson PyroTech products but are not Hansson PyroTech products.

The fake MOB Smoke/Light can be identified on the following:

Hansson PyroTech address and phone number is wrong. It says Billdal and phone number is +4631939900.
The Fake MOB Smoke/Light is not marked with the wheel and BV0062.
The fake MOB Smoke/Light is marked with IMO/SOLAS 1974/1986.
The fake MOB Smoke/Light is marked with the old Ref. No. 345100.

The genuine MOB Smoke/Light produced from Hansson PyroTech can be identified on the following:

Hansson PyroTech address and phone number shall be Lindesberg, Sweden and phone number +46 581 87250.
The genuine MOB Smoke/Light is marked with the wheel and BV 0062.
The genuine MOB Smoke/Light is marked with SOLAS 74/96.
The genuine MOB Smoke/Light Ref. No. should be 345105
