Current Consultations

For details on the latest consultations the MCA are undertaking.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency carry out public consultations connected to our work on forthcoming legislation, guidance and other matters as appropriate. We endeavour to follow the Government’s Code of Practice on Consultation, which is published on the Cabinet office website.

MCA consultations which are open for comment can be accessed through the “Current Consultations” link below. If you have comments on the consultation topic, these should be addressed to the nominated representative.

If you have a comment or complaint about the way a particular consultation is conducted, or if you feel it does not comply with the Government’s Code of Practice, please contact the Agency’s Consultation Co-ordinator at consultation.coordinator@mcga.gov.uk or on 023 8032 9260.

When a consultation period has ended the consultation document is moved to the 'Closed Consultations' section. Comments and responses are then collated and published alongside the consultation in due course. Comments and responses for any consultation launched in 2005 or before are published separately within this section.
