Humber Coastguard Co-ordinate Rescue of 3 Lost Walkers

Shortly after midnight on the 16th August, Humber Coastguard received a 999 call from a man reporting 3 of his party had not returned from a walk along the coastline from Whitby to Robin Hoods Bay. He stated that all four of them, himself, his girlfriend, his brother and wife had left Whitby at approximately 2pm to walk along the shoreline to Robin Hoods Bay where they were camping. He had been walking some distance in front of the other three and had not noticed until well into the walk, that the others were not behind him. read more..
