Lost Teenagers Found By Coastguards

At ten minutes to eight this evening Swansea Coastguard received a call from Avon and Somerset police reporting that they had taken a call from a seventeen year old girl who was accompanied by a sixteen year old boy. They called and told the police that they were lost after putting to sea at Weston Super Mare in a toy dinghy. read more..

At 11.26 am this morning Yarmouth Coastguard were requested by East of England Ambulance Service, to assist with a woman who had fallen from her horse on the waters edge of Holkham Beach, Holkham Bay, near Wells next the Sea. Emergency Services Exercise Fire on Ship with Brittany Ferries

An exercise, named Exercise Auger, will test the emergency services response to a fire at sea between Cherbourg and Poole on Wednesday, 14 May. The exercise will involve the Brittany Ferries ship, MV Cotentin, which will report a fire via a distress call on marine band radio.
