At twenty five minutes to five this evening, Dover MRCC were informed by Kent Ambulance that they had a crew attending an incident involving a 41 year old male in Pegwell Bay near Ramsgate. Deal and Margate Coastguard teams were tasked to attend the incident and the RAF rescue helicopter from Wattisham was airborne on a training exercise was also requested to attend, as the man and his 12 year old son were half a mile off shore trapped in mud. read more..

The crew of the missing yacht Calyx of Lolworth have been located and are safe and well. One of the crew was able to call Humber Coastguard this morning at 6.30 am on vhf radio. The vessel had drifted out of vhf radio range due to the adverse weather conditions, but is now east of Whitby.
