Regulations

There are no regulations for recreational Angling in the UK although membership of a Angling organisation such as the NFSA is strongly recommended. Boats that are available for hire are deemed 'at work' and fully regulated. Furthermore there is a legal obligation to adhere to the Charter Boats Code of Practice and the Inshore Code for boats operating from a nominated point of departure, which ensure that the boats are as safe as possible and carry the required safety equipment.
