Association of Inland Navigation Authorities (AINA)
Represents those organisations which operate and manage navigable inland waterways in the UK. To find out which Navigation Authority manages a particular waterway, please refer to the AINA Waterways Map.

Boat Safety Scheme
Jointly owned by British Waterways and the Environment Agency, this scheme is designed to minimise the risk of fires and explosions on boats by specifying a set of requirements they must meet to obtain a navigational licence. It also publishes guidance to enhance personal health and safety on privately owned boats.
