SEAFARER CERTIFICATION Background This survey began in January 2004, and is designed to assess our customers’ satisfaction with the service provided on an ongoing basis. We monitor levels of satisfaction with the application and processing of the three types of certificate: Notices of Eligibility (NOE); Certificates of Competency (COC); and Certificates of Equivalent Competency (CEC). During completion of the questionnaire, customers are asked to provide both satisfaction ratings and comments where relevant. Methodology Data for NOEs and COCs are collected by paper questionnaire, which are enclosed with each certificate by our staff during the certification process, and are returned direct to Amey PMG for processing. Data for CECs are collected through an online questionnaire from 2007. Results Results are collected on a 6 monthly basis. The November 2007 report contained COC and NOE and has shown our best results to date by further improving on our previous results with a 90% overall satisfaction with the Certification service.
